Yep all we really can do with friends and family that have died is to share memories of them, and similarly hope that somebody will remember us when we become dead. It's interesting how a person can, in a way, become memory. And in the case of famous historical figures that are only read about but never truly known, can exist in peoples' imagination, even though different people will imagine the historical figure differently. I do believe this strip has legitimately brought up a subject that's worth a bit of deep thinking!

That's right! I can't say for sure He'd like this, even though I'm pretty certain he would. For instance when Monty Python did a live reunion tour and at every venue they had Graham Chapman's ashes and they'd 'accidentally' spill some of them on to the stage. He thought that was awesome. But still, you can never know for sure if Graham Chapman would approve. So maybe the whole time we aren't really what we think of ourselves, but we're what OTHERS think of us. There's a Douglas Coupland novel, Miss Wyoming, where the main character's a has-been eighties celebrity and when she appears to die in a plane crash she gets to see what people REALLY think of her...

Please don't restrain yourself. I often say that the furry take on art allows artists to be less self-judmental about what they want to draw, emo stuff, erotic art, spiritual stuff. It works so well with non-human characters and so bad with human ones (to my eyes at least) This piece is perfect.

That's the problem with doing furry aht, tons of people would take it too seriously and think everything we draw is some weird fetish or something. But then again that's probably our fault. How I would love to be that fucking paintbrush softly brushing her furry grey neck and every brushstroke makes her stretchy neck stretch a little bit more stretchy. And then I'd take another bite out her cute ear and I'd fucking SWALLOW it the only thing that could make this drawing better is if paintbrushes could bite and swallow! I wish this was real and I could marry it!

XD Awe thanks! Pin, in my little DTP fantasy world I was making up this story where Wac got an old 4x4 for free but it was a complete wreck so he was going to write it off, but B and I dragged him into the adventure of trying to overhaul it, so we're working on it while Wac snoozles in the cockpit. I was imagining something where we were wanting to enter it into some kooky rally for prize money Wacky Races style. I tend to plot things in Saturday morning cartoon style! It was inspired by Brentos talking about Speed Buggy a while ago. Also I've always loved the idea of switching a Honda logo to say Hodad.

LOL you can't work on a Land Rover in the nude or you're going to get cut in some very bad places! It's funny you mention freedom of expression because right when I saw this I was reminded of some underground comic art from the eighties. There was some major mainstream calls for censorship regarding underground comics, punk music etc then and things were looking pretty bleak. It was the rise of the christian right and all that involved. (the liberal 'mainstream' went along with the whole thing too of course...) The destruction of western values, the satanic panic think of the children you know the drill. But we got through it pretty good for a long time. I've been fairly optimistic lately even with all the attacks right now because of the previously mentioned Expansion Of Consciousness which happens every now and then. All these deep thoughts went lightning through my brain right when I saw this pic. Welcome back Coon!

Brentos, true naturism requires a lot of sacrifice! That includes backing into the occasional exhaust manifold with only fur for a buffer. Oooh yeah one of my favorite things from that era was someone made a gruesome comic called Tipper Gore Stories which is one of the best titles for something ever! Thanks for the welcome back and while yes, I agree there's every reason to be optimistic (I think legal censorship is dead) it's still nice to have somewhere to express without fear of getting the stink-eye. I'm pleased to be the harbinger of those deep thoughts!

Brentos, I went through a bunch of them and there were some real gems! There has definitely been a sea change in terms of content, and not for the better. It seems like now the thing is trying to hang an ever-trudging narrative on a sparse skeleton of an idea in hopes of establishing a property. Single panel gags are pretty rare!
