Ahh... I just noticed the problem.

On my machine, the color picker works fine in ShiPainter Pro, but not normal ShiPainter.  This does appear to be a bug with the program.

The problem is, the author of the applet speaks very little english, so I'm not sure we can really submit a bug report or anything.

I've tried it on a number of computers and it's always the same, v1.114 does not work, but v1.070 does.

Any ideas?

I just though the maybe you aren't understanding which window I mean. I'm talking about the color picker window that opens when you click on the "Color" button. It has the color bar down the right side and the larger gradations window.

But it works for me on the 2Draw site, so it can't be the driver.

Works fine on my machine.  It might be a graphics driver issue.  I've noticed that ATI drivers tend not to update the screen properly when using Java applets.  If you have an ATI graphics card, check for new drivers.

I don't know if it's a bug, or just my setup but...

In Shi-Painter Ver 1.114, which you use, in the Shi-Painter applet (not Shi-Painter Pro), when you right-click on the drawing, the color picker does not reflect the change, even though your pen/brush changes to the color you've right-clicked on. It does reflect the change in the Shi-Painter Pro applet, just not the Shi-Painter applet.

On the 2Draw site, which uses an earlier version of Shi-Painter (Ver 1.070), the color picker changes to the color you right-click on.

Is this a bug in the latest version of Shi-Painter?

Thanks,
Noel
