Re: cant install

Wacintaki and Wax use the same cookie system, so if one doesn't work, the other won't, either.

In the other thread, you mentioned that the cookie test script worked, yes?  There may be a problem with how your server is handling cookies with redirects, because the OP boards use a redirect after setting a cookie while that test script does not.  I can't really think of any way to fix this other than bugging the sysadmins.  For a free server, that may be more trouble than it's worth.

It's unusual for a web host to use Microsoft IIS as a web server.  Apache is way better, and it might be a good idea to find one that uses the Linux OS, as almost all Linux servers use Apache.

Re: cant install

when i signed up, i thought i had to choose the system that i was using, so i chose windows. i cant chmod anything, and it doesnt have many choices. i think it might have also been cheaper.ill switch over next month, i spose. or at least ill try.

Re: cant install

Wow.  Most every service I've seen has Linux hosting cheaper than Windows.  If you tell them you don't need to keep your SQL database, there shouldn't be an issue converting to Linux.

Re: cant install

This is confirmed to be a bug in Microsoft IIS.  Read about it here.

I got a tip how to work around the problem.
