What is the Toon Fur Society?
A gathering of artists joined together to promote both the furry fandom and the expansion of the cartoon style both within that fandom and the rest of the world.
What is TFS's Goal?
Ultimately, to usher in a new level of respect for the Cartoon world and give artists a chance to feel welcome to express themselves in that medium. But for now, just to get the word out about up-and-coming artists that sometimes take a back seat to widely published artists, but are equally as good or better. Ideally, A represenative of TFS should be available at every Fur Convention around the world, sharing what we have to offer.
Why Toons?
Toons tend to be limited in their range of expressions in the public eye, despite being highly popular. Toons often become team and product mascots, or find themselves on stickers and clothing. The world shows that it loves its cartoons, from Mickey to Spongebob. However,the public rarely sees the more delicate emotions. Toons are the most iconic versions of our innermost selves. There is no reason to limit them to just being angry or happy.. they should be allowed to express feelings that people feel in total limitless ways.
Why furry?
Many reasons, a few being that offending persons of certain races is far less likely, so certain social situations are easier to pull off. The construction of most Toon Fur characters also allows for a greater range of expressions, especially highly exaggerated ones. Some might just tell you that 'Humans are Boring.'
If I buy something, who profits?
No one. TFS is a non-profit organization, and any money acquired from the sale of TFS merchandise will be contributed to those who would like to represent TFS at conventions, to help pay for con registration/hotel fees.
