A random surprise from an old pal who disappeared from the art scene for over a decade! He's decided not to return to posing art online, but nontheless graced me with this bit of nostalgia fever. I still draw Tawny, of course, but Nokino and the rest of the Backing Out crew are as distant a memory as the old Oekaki days.

Tawny's getting up there in years, but she still knows how to be fetching. I love the texture of real media and I'm really pleased some artists still draw the traditional way.

I assisted the artist with some color correction, as Tawny's colors are notoriously difficult to match with markers.

This is a remake/remix of a commission Area37 did for me about 12 years prior. In the original, “Nokino and Channing”, his character was Channing the Lynx, but apparently over the years she's been developed into Claire the Lioness.

As I've stated before, Nokino isn't the type to fool around with other men, but she can be persuaded to indulge other ladies. As usual, beer helps, but is not necessary. 8)

This is the first time anyone's ever drawn one of my Mobian origianl characters, so this is a depiction of Talia before the story took a dark turn.

Talia wants to be a biologist, so she's certainly happiest when exploring the outdoors.

A nice halloween picture which features a few cameos, including my raccoon family. The Wilson household is a bit hard to see in the background, but Wac is dresses as Patchy The Pirate (SpongeBob), Tawny is a witch, Miles is a rendition of Tape Face, and Melissa is a cute little pumpkin.

I won something! This commission was the first prize as part of a tracing contest. Basically, the artist challenged us all to trace one of his original works and produce a similar picture using our own characters. My entry to the contest actually included Wac and his girlfriend Noicha together in a bathtub, but for the prize, of course, I selected Tawny. Ratcha was all too happy to indulge my sense of humor and Tawny's unique sense of fuzzy fashion.

Is she just showing off to the crowd or contemplating her next move? Either way, I'd say she's the first of all prizes.

Out of nowhere, Medley offered to redraw some commissions she did for various people nearly a decade earlier — entirely for free. I ended up gaving her a donation anyway, but it's the thought that counts. 8)
