STORY TIME

A long time ago, in like 2007ish,. there was a little douchey teen by the name of Chris, who was new to the furry fandom and an attention seeking little asshat. He came to an oekaki board and pissed off everybody. And then he died in a fire.

Ok actually that teen became me, but last night I was browsing the oldest pages of the site and reliving some memories. Not all good memories mind you. It was a cringe gauntlet. But somehow out of nowhere, I did some digging and managed to find a former poster here, who I tried to reach out to.

And shockingly, we got along well. We reminisced briefly, buried some old rusted hatchets, and just... got along. a solid decade after everything. There's a catharsis there that is incredibly freeing, and I think maybe now I can look back and not want to immediately delete everything.

So for old times sake, I drew my old fursona. Two oatmel cookies to whoever remembers this jackass.

tbf, I never understood the mob mentality of all those people who were coming for you. And honestly there are many people I remember from back then who pissed me the hell off. Sometimes I'd leave a snide comment on one of their posts because I just couldn't take their elitist attitudes anymore.

glad to see you are doing well. glad to see this board is still around! And upon browsing, I'm happy to see that most of the people I liked are still around and the ones that annoyed me....are not. Haha

Anyway, the evolution of your artwork is amazing to behold as well. It's cool to go back and look at the archives and see people's artistic journies.

Jack Kirby originally wanted the comic to be called The Fantastic Five but Stan Lee was all "You know Jack, these are really good characters but I was thinking there should just be four of them, the Fantastic FOUR! It just sounds better don't you think? I think it sounds cooler! It's a good character though I think he's cool".

Great work for MS Paint (or anything). And, the PC must have won the issue over which compy is best for (low-level) graphics, as she seems to be wearing half of the Amiga Beachball for a swim cap. A war trophy?

And of course the entire album, which the comic has been loosely inspired by for some time now. I want to point out that Nina Hagen is the only vocalist on this album but it sounds like there's like ten opera singers singing all at the same time. She's one of the most talented musicians in so many ways and I'm surprised that nobody's ever heard of her before so here's a quick history as I've been told: She was born in East Germany at the hight of the cold war and was taught to sing by her mother who was an opera singer. She's known as the Mother Of Punk and is heavily spiritual and vegetarian. She believes in UFO's having 'seen' one in Kyoto, Japan. This is her first album recorded in the USA and has Paul Shaffer playing some of the synthesizers before he was with David Letterman. And a bunch of other stuff.

So I'm doing this with one pixel-width and I've had to change a lot with how I draw the panels. (I can still use multi-pixel widths for the straight lines fortunately) So I'm wondering how it is for everyone to read the text, should I make the letters bigger or is this working pretty good?
