Chibipaint

Wacoon, I noticed you wanted to integrate Chibipaint into wax, I was hoping you would be willing to do the same for wacintaki?

I would be more than willing to help you out if you don't have the time, I would just need to know a bit of information beforehand.

Anyway, thanks for the great software smile

Re: Chibipaint

Yes, both oekakis will be getting the framework.  At the moment, I'm just testing it in Wacintaki.  I specifically mentioned Wax on the Chibi Paint forum because that's the oekaki they're using.

Everything seems to be working fine, actually, so the next release of Wac/Wax will be getting Chibi Paint support.  The only catch is that you will have to download Chibi Paint yourself and drop it into the oekaki folder.  The applet is a bit too large to distribute by default, and I'm not totally sure if a product licensed under the GPL can be distributed within a free product without an official open-source license.

Overall though, I think they would be happy to see people expanding on it, from what I can gather on their site, they are already working to that effect.

Any expected release dates? Because I've been playing around with chibipaint for a while last night, and so was my girlfriend, and we are both hooked on how versatile this software is.

You probably have chibipaint installed somewhere, but http://lawlsuit.com/oekakidoodle/chibipaint.php then click on about, and the license seems to give the green light on using it in any way that makes it useful (provided proper credit is given, of course.)
